It was pretty experimental .. some things worked well ... ignore the rest.

Well that was a nice way to spend January.

It was worth it.

Really had to wing it this show.

Some nice traditional Colombian music..

... and I do my Bambuco debut.

Years from now this could be valuable.

But there may not be electricity to play it.

Oct 28 Show: Hostage Crisis Lima Peru 1997

Pepe Castro-Pozo helps me revisit and explore the events around the hostage taking at the Japanese Embassy.

Very happy with result despite challenges - including my first use of on-air phone (missed a lever & Pepe couldn't hear my voice as he read a very powerful poem).

I greatly appreciate his involvement especially, as it became clear, this is still a very emotional topic for many Peruvians.

I put a long Sebelius track on as I 'finished'. The guy after me didn't show up and the Program Director liked the tune so I got to drive around town for a half hour still listening to the Estonian Choir singing about Kalev from my own show.
